First Aid
At least one qualified first-aider is on the mat at every Apex class. We carry full first-aid kits, ice packs, and a defibrillator. Incidents are logged and reviewed.
Policy
Martial arts is a contact sport. We don’t pretend otherwise. What we do is make sure every member, from a four-year-old in their first Cubz class to a sixty-year-old returning to the mat, is supervised, protected, and progressing at the right pace.

Apex carries full public liability insurance and instructor insurance. Members are covered for participation in any class as part of their membership.
All sparring is light contact, supervised, and uses appropriate protective kit (gloves, shins, head guards). Children build up to sparring gradually.
Every class begins with a structured warm-up and mobility routine. Coaches monitor technique to prevent overuse injury, and never push members through pain.
Any incident, no matter how minor, is logged in our class register. Parents are notified of any injury involving a child the same day.
Mats are cleaned between class sessions. Members attend in clean kit, with short nails and tied-back hair. Anyone with an open wound or contagious skin condition is asked to sit class out.
If you have any concerns about safety, supervision, or anything at all, please speak to the head coach in person, message us on WhatsApp, or email info@apexma.co.uk.
