A Word From Your Coach

Before You Book.

Junior Boxing is for young people who want results they can feel inside a single class. Less syllabus, more sweat. Real combat sport, taught with full safeguarding and full safety kit.

We don’t teach kids how to hit hard. We teach them footwork, distance, defence, breath control, and how to use everything they’ve learned without panicking.

The young people who choose Junior Boxing tend to be the ones who want to put energy somewhere productive. Six months in, they’re calmer, fitter, and far better at managing themselves.

See you on the mat,

The Struggle

Is Junior Boxing The Right Outlet?

01Wants something that feels like real boxing
02Bored of team sports and wants something individual
03Has energy that needs a productive outlet
04Wants to know they could defend themselves
05You want them in something disciplined without the long-syllabus commitment

If any of these sound familiar, you’re in the right place. Apex was built for exactly these moments.

Footwork

The foundation of every other technique.

Junior boxers throw punches from their very first class, and we build proper footwork underneath them from day one. Footwork that translates straight to every other sport.

Most parents are surprised by how much technical work goes into every session.

Pad Work

Real boxing, real combinations.

Hitting pads with proper technique, building combinations, learning to breathe under exertion. Junior boxers see fitness improvements within weeks.

Pad work is the most satisfying part of training, and the most useful for building real technique.

Defence

The art of not being hit.

Slipping, parrying, blocking. The most important skill in any combat sport. Most class time goes here, not on offence.

Junior boxers who learn defence early stay safe and develop confidence faster.

Conditioning

Cardio that’s actually fun.

Boxing circuits build a kind of fitness no other sport produces. Cardio, core, explosive power. The unfair side effect of a class that’s actually about skill.

Light contact only, full kit, supervised. Most young boxers train for years without a real injury.

Yes. Junior Boxing has interclub events and competitive options for those who want them.

However fit they are now is fine. The conditioning builds week by week, and the class adapts to every level.
